At a wastewater treatment plant in Brabant, the heavy rainfall over the past few months caused damage to the reservoir. The precipitation raised the groundwater level so much that the original basin lining could not withstand the pressure difference and was damaged. NPI came to the rescue!
The wastewater treatment plant repaired the concrete work and pipes. NPI stepped in to repair the HDPE lining. We applied white non woven geotextile under the lining to protect it from sharp elements in the ground. We then secured the HDPE lining to the concrete columns using liner strips. These strips ensure that the lining stays in place. Moreover, they provide a neat and safe finish and contribute to a longer lifespan for the lining.
Now that the repair work is completed, the wastewater treatment plant can bring the basin back into operation, allowing the facility to continue removing contaminants and harmful substances from the wastewater!
