ArboShield Tree Guards
The ArboShield BIO tree guards are the first and only soil certified tree and vine guards on the market. This means they can be left on the trees after use and that they nature will completetely absorb them. The tree guards are made from plant-based resin and recycled wood residues, produced from European-grown wood. This makes them a 100% natural solution to protect trees and vines against mice, voles, rabbits, hares and deers.
Lifespan
These tree guards are soil biodegradable tree guards with an average lifespan of 5 years. This is also the duration for which young trees need protection against wildlife. After use, the tree guards will be absorbed by nature. They are 100% biodegradable in all environments; in soil, rivers and oceans.
Leave them on the tree
Unfortunately, it is often not possible to remove all tree guards from sites and the remaining tree guards can litter the environment. These plant-based and biodegradable alternatives are developed to tackle this challenge. They can be left on the trees which results in significant savings in labor and disposal. The tree guards do not need to be collected or disposed of. As a result, the overall costs of these tree guards are lower than those of regular guards.
Circular
The wood residues are produced from European-grown FSC and/or PEFC trees. The ArboShield tree guards at the end of their life nurture at their turn the forest. The decaying wood plays a crucial role in nurturing wildlife, plants and animals, such as mushrooms and insects. They break down into nutrients as nitrogen, carbon, potassium and phosphorus. Keeping living ones healthy and helping new plants grow.
