Non woven ground cover: superior weed barrier!

Now also available at NPI: non woven ground cover. Classic ground cover is woven with black polypropylene tapes. In contrast, non-woven ground cover consists of tiny compressed fibers. As a result, it offers several additional advantages compared to woven ground cover.

The advantages

The advantages of woven ground cover:

• Woven ground cover is water permeable
• Woven ground cover inhibits root growth
• Woven ground cover offers stability to the ground
• Woven ground cover is easy to fix with pegs

The extra advantages of non woven ground cover:

• Non woven ground cover is stronger in the same weight class
• Non woven ground cover offers even more stability to the ground
• Non woven ground cover is more resistant to sharp gravel
• Non woven ground cover allows more water to pass through
• Non woven ground cover doesn’t fray (environmentally friendly!)

Because non woven ground cover does not fray, it is by definition more environmentally friendly than woven ground cover, as it leaves no plastic behind in nature. In addition, the excellent water and air permeability of non woven ground cover ensures that soil life under the cover also remains healthy. Moreover, the surface of the canvas is smooth, so any weeds growing on the ground cover from above will not take root in the ground cover and can be easily removed. In short, non woven ground cover is a valuable product and we see that it is increasingly winning over the classic, woven ground cover!

Specifications

At NPI we offer non woven ground cover at widths of 1,10 meter, 2,10 meter and 3,20 meter. De rol lengths are zijn 100 meter en the weight of the cover is 110 gr/m2. Our non woven ground cover is at one side brown and at the other side black.
